Self-portrait

 

Hi my name is Lauren welcome back to my blog this will be my last blog post as a freshman and before the summer of 2022. I would also like to explain that none of these photos are actually mine I unfortunately got sick during the time of this assignment so this is me improvising and doing my best to complete it. 

But for this assignment we were signed to do a self portrait of ourselves with a projector with different backgrounds and to match ourselves with the theme of the background. Now there is a difference between a self portrait and a selfie , a selfie is just your face your self portrait would be your whole body. 

I am OK and comfortable with being in front of the camera a lot because my family takes a lot of pictures because they’re photographers.  I love taking selfies I prefer it over self portraits. If I were to have done this assignment in class I definitely feel like I would be a little bit uncomfortable posing.

I have noticed that I am very attracted to using things like flowers or things from nature in my photos None of the photos  I used allowed anybody to be camouflage they were all using kind of bright colors and stood out along with their  theme. Because I’m more attracted to bright colors and florist, flowery things. 

I wish I would’ve spent more time doing the assignment  and I had completed it as it was supposed to be completed because it seems as if it would’ve been fun my advice to other people that would do this project is to make sure that you were able to see your background and your subject and understand what is going on in the photos. Make sure that your model matches the theme of the background. 

Two things I could be done in the future is  actually do the assignment :) . And maybe next time I could do a different theme and get out of my comfort zone. Do some bold
