Self-portrait

  Hi my name is Lauren welcome back to my blog this will be my last blog post as a freshman and before the summer of 2022. I would also like to explain that none of these photos are actually mine I unfortunately got sick during the time of this assignment so this is me improvising and doing my best to complete it.  But for this assignment we were signed to do a self portrait of ourselves with a projector with different backgrounds and to match ourselves with the theme of the background. Now there is a difference between a self portrait and a selfie , a selfie is just your face your self portrait would be your whole body.  I am OK and comfortable with being in front of the camera a lot because my family takes a lot of pictures because they’re photographers.  I love taking selfies I prefer it over self portraits. The secret life of Walter Mitty

After returning from spring break we started the quarter off by watching a movie ( the secret lif of Walter Mitty. It was really nice to start off the quarter by being able to gradually get back to our regular schedule. This was my first time seeing the film. It is definitely a good film to introduce phonograms I liked Sean O'Connell in the movie. He's always very in the moment. I think that the overall image Sean O’Connell chose was a good choice because it shows how hard Walter works and how much he loves doing his job and makes sure he gets the recognition he deserves. Walter in the end didn’t look at the negative. If I were him I would have looked at the image just to see it’s value or importance. I think the most important lesson is to sometimes take a walk out of your comfort zone which is why I chose the quote I chose.  My goal is to think outside of the box and step out of my comfort zone.   Welcome back and Happy Spring last quarter of my freshman year, we were assigned to document what we did during our spring break and at the end organize it into a list. The three most memorable places I took pictures were the clear boat ride, the beach and the new food place that I tried. This spring break I went out more than I did last year because more things were open and we didn’t have to wear a mask.
